Are we listening to all groups that are affected by this course of action?

Do all relevant groups have a voice in the decision-making process?

Brief Reflection

Being inclusive is an often occurrence for me since I am constantly in group projects for my class. No one person has greatly influenced my thinking, the greatest influence I have is the culmination of groups I have been in.

Zoom In Reflection

I have known my current roommates for the entirety of my college experience. Generally speaking, we have had great experiences together and get along very well. Despite our close relationships there have been times with friction. In those situations, being inclusive would have prevented many issues that have come up. The conflict arose after one of our roommate’s partner started decorating our apartment common area. My other roommate and I felt that the direction was going in a too feminine manner, and that the apartment was turning into something different than what we wanted. The three of us minus the one with the girlfriend decorating decided to take down the decorations via majority vote. After we did, there was a major argument. They revealed that they wanted to decorate and make the apartment their new home since the home back home was flooded from Hurricane Harvey. We worked out our differences in the end, but being inclusive would have eased much of the conflict.  One way I can further develop the inclusive mindset would be by practicing efficient communication so that no misunderstandings arise.
